MultiBlog 1.99.6b

Yet another quickie release for MultiBlog, version 1.99.6b. It fixes a small problem with the MTMultiBlogCategories tag (namely, that it didn't work due to a syntax error; I really need to do more automated testing).

So download and enjoy. And remember, that if you're upgrading from an older pre-1.99.x version of MultiBlog, you will need to reconfigure the rebuilding controls since the changes between pre-1.99.x and and 1.99.x were fairly drastic. If that is going to be a problem for enough people, I can investigate using MT 3.3's automated plugin upgrade facilities for those that need it.

Hey David

Good stuff. I don't seem to to able to trigger an automatic rebuild in the "master" blog everytime I insert an entry in a "child" blog though.

Is there anything I could read on "how to" trigger rebuild? What would be your advice?

Hi. Wondering if you still have the recent searches plugin referred to on the MT plugin list here: http://www.sixapart.com/pronet/plugins/plugin/searches.html
(dead link now) ..and whether it is ok with MT3.31.
Cheers.

Hey Dave,
I'm attempting to use this with the latest MT3.31 and I'm not getting any results. My goal was to setup a sideblog(for links) and reference it from another blog. In the settings section I adjust it to do 'When Sideblog publishes an entry, rebuild Indexes'. Which reminds me I don't see an option for Archive rebuilding... What are the tags used and how do I use them? Your plugin link from SixApart didn't work and the documentation you've provided is very scarce unfortunately.

Btw, congratulations on the your addition(baby)! ;)

Hi David,
I just downloaded your plugin, which I'd like to use for a 'miniblog' in the sidebar. Found the documentation, but I guess that's a work in progress ;-)
Do you have a small readme or anything to help a first-time user set it up?
TIA!

David - great stuff, just installing, looks like I'll be making a donation to the MultiBlog 2.0 fund.

One quiuck question while I'm trying it out (and forgive me if it's in the documentation and I missed it). I had a MTEntries tag with the attribute categories="NOT Events" - is there some way to get the same result using the MTMultiBlogEntries tag?

Thanks for any advice!

Hi David,

First, i would like to salute you on the great effort you did on MultiBlog. If it will work for my multiple blogs which are on the same mt installation, that would save me loots of time and i would be happy to close your fund raising campaign :)

Im using Movable Type 2.661, is'MultiBlog' compatible with that version?

Howdy Dave.

First off, let me thank you for the plugin. I've had it in use for some time. I'm starting a new project now, and I noticed that when working with multiple blogs, it inserts entries from the first, then entries with the second one. I'd like to re-organize them so that they are integrated based on which was most recent.

I could swear this feature was already in place - with something like a "sort=date" parameter, but with the docs gone, I'm at a loss. Do you know how to implement this off the top of your noggin?
