New Plugin Idea: MacroDesigner

Basically, the idea is to just write a front end for MTMacro. I want it to provide the following features:

  • Ability to define macros for use with MTMacro, removing the need for using all the MTMacroDefine tags in your templates
  • Ability to test those macros
  • Ability to form Macro Groups, which would allow applying a group or groups of macros to any particular instance of MTMacroApply or apply_macros

Of course, this is still very much in the planning stages. And, as always, any feedback, suggestions, comments, or questions are more than welcome.

Great, Is it going to be a MT3.0 only plugin?

Good idea, I'd also love to see a similar RegexDesigner plugin so I don't have to include the index.html stripper pattern (amongst others) in all my templates.

Hope to see this soon :)
