If only I could make money doing this

It is probably pretty obvious that my posting has slowed down quite a bit lately. Between the wedding + honeymoon, along with a big deadline coming up at work, I just haven't had the time to put into the site that I have in the past. And especially now that we are seriously working towards buying our first house, I've had to sit down and re-evaluate my priorities. And, for better or for worse, I just don't think I will be able to dedicate as much time to this as I used to.

Now, before anybody gets upset or just gets the wrong impression, I will not be stopping; I enjoy this too much to do that. But, the fact is, I have put a lot of time into this site and all the plugins I've written, and this is not how I am making my living at the moment. Now, I do not want to start charging for what I develop or anything like that, but if anybody feels like paying me for all the time I have and will put in here, I am not going to stop you. :)

Heck, I'd be happy to entertain any ideas on how I could get a little something back for all the time I've put in here. Would anybody want to wear a David Raynes/Rayners.Org t-shirt? I'd probably need some kind of logo first though, huh? :)

Heh heh. It's funny what similar tracks our lives are on...as I mentioned once before, we're basically the same age, both just got married to our respective Jen(n) (congrats, by the way!), both host with TCH, and now I learn we're both working on buying our first homes. Pretty cool.

Anyway, as for your concern about making money with your work on this site...have you considered Google AdWords? If it's any indication of the potential success, the guy who runs the Google Weblog (http://google.blogspace.com/) got nearly $1,000 for the month of June from the program (though he's since suppressed the details from that posting).

Hey everybody needs a little money now and then! If I ever get a few minutes of free time, I might see what I can do for you in the lines of a logo.. could be fun to mess around with.

I used the Google adWords and is Ok. However Overture have lover bids but also have less exposure. Lets hope that Google will lower somday the minimum bids.

Google AdWords is Ok. The problem is to have visitors.

Take care, this posting How to turn 6$ into 6,000 is a scam

David I have a suggestion for you. Setup some kind of advertising on your home page and on some of your lesser pages. According to Alexa your site is within the top 500,000 websites on the Internet in terms of traffic volume. Someone like myself would be interested in paying you to put a link to my website on your home page, or better yet. See if rayners.org can have Google's Adwords adds on your home page through Adsense.
