Grafitti in French Cemetery for British WWII Soldiers
SICK French yobs daubed a swastika and vile anti-war slurs at a cemetery for 11,000 British troops.
The showpiece cenotaph at the graveyard in Northern France was smeared in red paint with the words: "Dig up your rubbish. It's fouling our soil."
Other slogans at the Etaples cemetery near Boulogne included "Death to the Yankees" and "Saddam Hussein will win and spill your blood."
I've been trying very hard not to get political on my site. People who know me know where I stand, and that's enough for me (for now). I am currently biting my tongue very hard.

Just to clarify my position here, I am not anti-French. I was actually in France a couple summers ago and it was an experience I will never forget (in a good way). What I am against, however, is the actions of some of the anti-war protesters. I fully support someone's right to express their opinion, whether I agree with it or not. But sometimes people can take things too far, way too far, as in this case here. A few idiots don't speak for an entire country, both in France and over here in the US.
Well, just don't. I happen to be French and to read your blog. There are idiots in France, just like those who defile cemeteries. I'm pretty sure you have your idiots too. Let's not judge each other on the basis of their action because that is exactly what they want. As it happens, you can be against this war, as I am, and not against the whole British people and the whole American people. Last time I checked, we all shared the same values. Let us work to keep it that way for a long long time!
