Yesterday, after I left the stall as I was heading over to the sink to wash my hands, one of my bosses comes in and heads over to the urinal. While he is there, he proceeds to ask me if I've taken care of some paperwork that I needed to sign off on that day. Is this proper Men's Room Etiquette?
My understanding of these important unwritten rules is as follows:
- Always have a buffer if you can, whether you're using a urinal or you're in a stall. If there are other people there, be sure there's at least one urinal/stall between you and them if at all possible.
- Never speak from one urinal or stall to a person in another one, adjoiing or otherwise. As well, in the case of a urinal, never look over to the next.
(The only exception to this is if the bathroom is empty, and you and the other person entered at the same time. For example, if it's late at night and you and your friend are making a pit stop on your cross country drive)
Are there any I'm missing?
